SkiProtect: sturdy and stylish protection for your skis
Ski protection is a major issue for every skiing enthusiast who has spent a considerable amount for a perfect pair of skis. Starting with the winter season 2024/2025, Senzor is proud to announce a collaboration with the young Slovenian company SkiProtect to offer the ultimate solution in ski protection for the Nordic countries.

“We were really impressed with the innovative idea, the high product quality, and the personal commitment of the founders,” emphasizes Magnus Johansson. “This is why we offer this ultimate protection also to skiing enthusiasts in the Nordic countries.”

The Guardian Angel for Your Skis
SkiProtect was designed as the ultimate companion for every skier. Snow and ice are fun on the slopes, but can be damaging for the ski. SkiProtect offers the ultimate solution to protect the precious edges and the carefully designed surfaces.
A growing number of ski enthusiasts already puts their trust into the product to keep their precious gear safe and secure. With SkiProtect, ski owners get premium protection. The skis are individually packaged in flexible neoprene sleeves crafted from durable materials to ensure your skis are shielded from scratches, dings, and weather elements. When the skis are in use, the SkiProtect sleeves can be folded neatly, making it simple to store.
The Quantum Leap in Ski Protection
In comparison to the most common way of storing and transporting skis – simply PVC bags – the new SkiProtect concept offers many advantages:
- Flexibility and better fit: Neoprene covers are extremely flexible and adhere perfectly to your skis, regardless of their shape and size. PVC bags are often hard and bulky, which makes them difficult to carry and less practical.
- Lightness: Neoprene is much lighter than PVC, meaning your cover won’t add unnecessary weight when carrying your gear. Neoprene will make it easier to maneuver your ski equipment, whether at the airport, in the car or on the ski slopes.
- Better impact protection: The neoprene fabric absorbs shock and provides excellent protection against scratches, curb damage and impacts during transport. PVC bags are more rigid, which can reduce protection against physical impacts and scratches during movement.
- Water resistance and moisture resistance: Neoprene is naturally waterproof and keeps your skis dry and protected from moisture and corrosion. PVC bags can trap moisture inside, which can cause rusting of the edges and reduced performance of the skis on snow.
- Ease of use: Neoprene wraps are easy to use and remove due to their elasticity. PVC bags often have zippers and straps that can become complicated and time-consuming to use, especially in cold conditions.
- Aesthetic appeal: Neoprene covers are designed to match any of your style. PVC bags are simply much less attractive to the eye.
Magnus adds: “It simply hurts when we observe people packing their expensive skis in a flimsy PVC bag – or even worse, just throw them into their car without any protection.“

Get the best ski protection with a few care tips for your SkiProtect
As soon as you come indoors, remove your skis from the neoprene sleeve. To shake off excess moisture, simply hold the sleeve over a sink or outside and shake it to remove as much snow and moisture as possible. For spot cleaning, use a damp cloth to wipe off any dirt, mud, or salt that might have accumulated on the surface. More stubborn stains can be removed with a mild soap mixed with water. Gently scrub the affected areas with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents as they can degrade the neoprene material.

Place the sleeve in a well-ventilated area to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, as excessive heat can damage the neoprene. Turn the sleeve inside out to ensure both the exterior and interior dry completely. This helps prevent mold and mildew growth. Once completely dry, store the neoprene sleeve flat or loosely rolled to prevent creases and maintain its shape. Avoid compression and do not store heavy objects on top of the sleeve as this can cause permanent creasing or damage to the neoprene.
Store the sleeve in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Meet the SkiProtect founders
The business was established by Nejc and his wife Dominique. For years, Nejc has been driving the company WrapIt and providing protective foil for anything from doors to furniture and cars. So he knows a thing or two about keeping your beloved items in good presentable condition.
Dominique – a tall stunning strawberry blonde – refers to her passion for skiing as well as her Dutch roots: “We’re avid skiers, and we drive long distances to follow our passion. During transport or storage, skis are exposed to scratches, bumps and other damages that can shorten their life and affect their performance on snow. Even minor damage to curbs or sliding surfaces can cause driving problems and increase maintenance costs.”
For an even more stylish experience, every SkiProtect sleeve can be customized with the owner’s name at a small extra cost.
